Carl F. Goodman is Adjunct Professor of Japan/United States Comparative Law at Georgetown University Law Center and also at George Washington University School of Law, in Washington D.C. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle Washington and Temple University Tokyo Faculty of Law and was a Fulbright Researcher at Tokyo University. He is the 2005 recipient of the Georgetown University Law Center Charles Fehy Distinguished Adjunct Professor Award. In private law practice he was a partner in the International firms of Surrey and Morse and Jones, Day. While in private practice Professor Goodman had an active international practice based in part on… representation of Japanese clients. He is a retired partner of Jones Day and upon retirement became Professor of Anglo-American Law at Hiroshima University, Faculty of Law in Hiroshima Japan. He was on the Hirodai faculty from 1992-1995.
