Stig Toft Madsen has studied anthropology and sociology. He has taught and researched in universities in Denmark and Sweden; he has also published a book on human rights in South Asia, edited an anthology on the environment and has published widely on other South Asian matters.Kenneth Bo Nielsen is a research fellow at the Centre for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo. An anthropologist by training, he has done intensive fieldwork in West Bengal.
