Description:

This work of creative nonfiction offers a nuanced portrait of the "City of Dreams." Inspired in part by the story of her husband's family, who as Viennese Jews were forced to flee in 1938, the book discusses the city's legendary charm and reverence for the arts, as well as its darker character.
