Peggy Osna Heller, PhD is a social worker and clinical poetry therapist. She has taught poetry therapy locally and internationally, maintaining a private practice in psychotherapy and poetry therapy. She co-directed with Kenneth Gorelick, MD the Wordsworth Center for Growth and Healing in the Washington, DC area, and is a past president of the National Association for Poetry Therapy (NAPT), The NAPT Foundation, and the National Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy. She is the author of Word Arts Collage: A Poetry Therapy Memoir, and co-editor with Carol Cox, MA of Portrait of the Artist as Poet.
