Linda Zemba Burhance is a natural born knitter. While in college, she won Outstanding U.S. Student Designer and shared the stage with Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace, Perry Ellis and Alexander Julian. She was a National Student Fashion Award winner, and her work was the subject of a television spot on PM Magazine. After graduating with a degree in Fashion Design from Marist College, Linda became Fashion Editor for a national yarn and knitting needle company, Susan Bates, where she produced the book Learn to Knit as well as several patterns for corporate pattern books. She has also worked as Fashion Editor at Phildar and has produced pattern books for Plymouth. Her knit… and crochet patterns have appeared in national women's magazines such as Women's Day and Family Circle. Linda was honored as Woman of the Year by her peers in the fashion business and her work has appeared in several fashion shows. Linda lives in Newtown, Connecticut in an historic house with her husband and son, and, of course, a great big stash of yarn!
