Chaz Scoggins is an award-winning writer who covered the Red Sox for The Lowell Sun beginning in 1973, up until his retirement in April 2013. Scoggins has also served as the official scorekeeper for the Red Sox and president of the Baseball Writers Association of America. He has also been a broadcaster for Lowell Spinners games. Scoggins is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.nbsp; Johnny Pesky was a Major League Baseball player and coach. He passed away in 2012.nbsp;nbsp;

Pesky played ten seasons in the major leagues, his first eight with the Boston red Sox. He managed the team during the 1962 and 1963 seasons and again briefly as the interim manager in 1980. He spent six more years in Boston's broadcast booth, and currently works within the organization as a coach and scout.
