Tom Sancton graduated from Harvard in 1971 and attended Oxford as a Rhodes scholar. He worked at Time magazine for 22 years and co-authored the bestseller Death of a Princess in 1998. He has also appeared as a clarinetist at major jazz festivals and has recorded more than a dozen albums. He currently lives in Paris with his wife Sylvaine.
