Jackie was born in Northhampton, the heart of the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts. Her fond memories of growing up in this community include her friends knocking on her door to ask, "Can you come out and play?"Jackie currently lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she continues to write, paint, and garden.
Megan Halsey has illustrated over 40 books for children, several of which she also wrote. She lives with her husband in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. Sean Addy's illustrations have appeared in newspapers, magazines, and children's books. He lives in Port Jervis, New York. Megan and Sean are partners in Ah!Ha!Studios, a company specializing in children's book illustration and package and poster design.
