Originally from the USA, Edith Garcia is known as an artist both here and in the states. She is currently a researcher at the Royal College of Art in London, and has studied in both California (where she did her MA in 2004) and Italy giving her a good international perspective. Her work has been recently published in Breaking the Mould: New Approaches to Ceramics, as well as featuring in Neu Keramik, Ceramic Review, Ceramic Monthly, Time Out London, American Craft Magazine and Confrontational Ceramics. She gives many talks and demonstrations at ceramic courses and fairs both here and in the U.S., the most recent being at the Aberystwyth International Ceramics Festival in Wales, August 2009.
