As crime fiction writer, he has been described as "the Godfather of contemporary Australian crime-writing."Sydney Sharpe is a bestselling author of five books, including The Gilded Ghetto, A Patch of Green, and (with Don Braid) Storming Babylon. She was also a co-editor and writer of the centennial volume Alberta: A State of Mind. She lives in Calgary.
