Yuoranda Walker was sexually abused by her step father as a little girl. The sexual abuse in addition to the mental abuse, seeing her mother physically abused and even witnessing her mother turn to alcohol to deal with the dysfunction could have easily destroyed Yuoranda from the inside out. But it was because of her belief in God and her willingness to forgive & work on herself, that she was able to overcome her brokenness and heal her hurt. Admittingly, the process was not an easy one but Yuoranda refused to allow her hurt to further dictate her actions or her outlook on life. At what she believed to be her lowest point in life, she realized that living life her way was the wrong way. It… was then that Yuoranda decided to face her truth for what it was and allow God to work on her, in her, & through her to Heal her Hurt.
