ABOUT THE AUTHORSSherry E. Showalter, Ph.D., L.C.S.W. is a National Heart of Hospice recipient for psycho-social-spiritual care-giving. Dr. Showalter has been a long time advocate for patients and families coping with pain, chronic pain, loss, dying and bereavement. She proudly served with other first responders at the Pentagon during 9/11 and continues to work with those coping with chronic pain and sudden and traumatic loss. She is a keynote speaker and psychotherapist. Dr. Showalter is Native American and believes in many alternative methods to help with chronic pain. She is also the author of "Healing Heartaches: Stories of Loss and Life".ANDJohn Argent is a full time caretaker and… deals with those living with chronic pain and has dealt with his own chronic pain. He worked in emergency management and 911 for 12 years, was a volunteer firefighter and is a certified First Responder. Through the years, he has learned many alternative ways to deal with chronic pain and to help those that he takes care of enhance the methods their physicians use. He is currently working on his first novel "Evil Comes To Town" which should be published soon.
