Dr. Baker has graduate degrees in health planning administration, and a masters and doctorate in theology. He is a retired corporate benefits manager, and served in various ministerial capacities from bible teacher to radio Bible teacher, pastor and interim pastor to hospital chaplain. He has published Christian music, anthems and cantatas. His literary writings include theology, poetry and essays published in newspapers, poetry reviews, and short story anthologies. This is his first book of poetry. Other works ready for publication include a book of essays: "Songs of the South; Musings on Growing Up in the South", a Christmas novella, "Meredith's Miracle", a book of original epigrams, and… a series of inspirational novels: "Across All Seasons; Memoirs from the Heart". He lives with his wife in Farragut, Tennessee.
