Lynn Nelms (1947-2013) began riding in 1952, when she was five years old. She moved to a small farm in northern Virginia in 1972. Always a rider and horseowner, she wrote poetry during tehe 1980s, and thereafter took photographs of horses, horse shows, barn animals, people, landscapes, and wildlife.
