Laura E. Federmeyer grew up in a small town in Ohio, where she lived with her parents and two younger sisters. She had always liked to make up stories and write. Her interests were horses and cowboys. All her stories had a horse or two in it. As a teenager, she accepted Christ and began writing stories for church publications. A couple of her works were printed, and she won second place in a writing contest. She moved to Florida in 1967. She met an older lady who had both horses and cattle, and Laura was able to fulfill one of her dreams--that of being a cowboy. Several years later she was able to have her own horse. Her next dream was having a home in the country, and that came true when… she married her husband, Richard. Now, both are retired, enjoying country life and serving their small church.
