He pastored in Oklahoma and Arkansas after receiving an M.A. in New Testament literature from Calvary Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Grace Theological Seminary before earning a Doctor of Pastoral Theology from Bob Jones University Seminary. Gary and wife Peggy are members of Faith Baptist Church, Taylors, South Carolina. They have three children and five grandchildren.
