"HEBREW LETTERS have been fascinating friends since I began meditating with them many years ago. Prints of my paintings of the letters adorn a wall in my home. They smile at me every day," says Kohenet Nancy Handwerger. As a Kohenet, an ordained Hebrew Priestess, Nancy brings forth the Divine Feminine through Jewish spiritual leadership, creative ritual, and the archetypal roles of women in the Bible. She writes dialogues related to the stories of these women.Nancy is a life-long learner, student and teacher of Jewish studies and mysticism. She is a former Yoga teacher and, currently, as a certified Jewish Meditation Teacher, leads meditation groups connecting the Hebrew Letters with art… forms. For over 25 years Kohenet Handwerger, LCSW, integrated hands-on-healing along with her psychotherapy practice. She graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and has trained in Jewish Shamanism and other healing modalities.Nancy enjoys playing piano, drums and dancing. For creative fun she paints Hebrew letters on silk. For special occasions and weddings she has painted chuppahs on silk. Yet, her primary love and work have been as a mother and, now, as a "Grammy."Cathie Wegrzyn, a former teacher at the Barabara Brennan School of Healing, has been a partner in co-creating the meditation approaches in this book. She is an army trained physical therapist, offering service through various modalities of manual therapy. Cathie serves her church as a Deacon. She, too, is a caring mother and grandmother.
