The author was born and raised in the farmlands, North Woods, Rivers and Lakes of Northwest Michigan. He served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and as a Light Infantry soldier, Advisor in Central and South America. He has a deep passion for camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting , or hiking. He resides with his partner, Kathleen White, six cats. He is content around a fire with book or pen,pad and paper at hand. His other involvements are Environmental and Veteran's activism and Indigenous rights.
