Marc Anthony Brownlee is my name. I was born on December 22, 1985 and was raised in a small town in southern Ohio. As long as I can remember I've always wanted to be creative. I tried lots of things as a kid drawing, writing, and some acting, but writing seemed to be the one that stuck around. I finally got my degree in creative writing at Miami University and it was off and running. One thing you need to know about me is that I like to go against the norm, I consider myself to be radical and very unconventional. The way I choose to write is very different than most are used to. The typical writing method is prose; which is fine, but I am also an avid movie watcher and enjoy the aspects… that film brings. My form of particular writing is called script-novel; which combines the prose form and script writing bringing a different light to the old tradition. I've found that people love it or hate, there really is no room for in-between. I write solely because it makes me happy and I love telling stories, creating worlds and imagining characters bringing them to life on page. The horror genre has always been my favorite. I respect the other genres and all they have to offer and dabble in drama as well. Horror just opens up the question "what if" and opens the door to so many possibilities breaking the walls of reality that may or may be our own. My two favorite stories in the horror genre are "A Nightmare on Elm Street" 1984 and "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" 1994. These two films and their innovative stories by Wes Craven himself is partially what inspired me to become a writer myself; so in the back of my mind I am always chasing these two stories.
