Kent Weatherby is a retired corporate lawyer holding a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law. From 1969 to 1976 he worked for the United States Attorney for the District of Kansas, U.S. Justice Department. From 1976 to 1978 he as an Assistant Attorney General to the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, a United Nations Trusteeship. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army Reserve as investigating officer in a war crimes investigating team. Weatherby and his wife live in Kansas City.
