OREN LITWIN IS a PhD candidate in political science at George Mason University, where he completed his MA in 2010. Before that, he earned a BA with honors from Yeshiva College in New York. Over and over, his work returns to the theme of how people work together in the face of social turmoil to create new institutions, in order to build a better world. Oren currently lives with his family and a horse, three chickens, and two dogs in California, where he is working on his PhD dissertation in Just War Theory. (Yes, George Mason is in Virginia...)
