Carol L. McCleary was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1960, moved to Moncton, New Brunswick with her family when she was five, and has lived there ever since. Her love of the written word was instilled in her from a young age and she started writing poetry at age 13. She is a mother of two and a grandmother of three and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family. She and Tom, her husband of 33 years share a love of travelling; enjoying the art, architecture and history of different countries. Her main passion though, remains with writing and her lifelong dream has always been to be a published author. The idea for 'Daddy's Girl' first formulated in her mind as a teenager, when a… neighbour's baby died of 'crib death'. It was an incident that affected her deeply and stuck with her.
