Melissa Johnston-Burnham, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in a group practice who specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents. She adopted her daughter from China in 2010. Melissa was inspired to write Forever Mama after talking with her daughter one night about the importance of the mothers who came before her and the wonderful qualities her daughter can attribute to these women. A portion of the proceeds of this book will be donated to the Henan Project, sponsored by CCAI Adoption Services, which the author feels is directly responsible for her daughter's survival as an infant with special needs.
