Walter Rabetz received his BA Degree from Brooklyn College where he studied with Walter Rosenblum, and his MFA Degree from The Rhode Island School of Design where he studied with Harry Callahan. His work is included in many collections and museums. Rabetz was the Head of the Art Department at The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT for 37 years. As an artist, he is known for his various conceptual series, each of which differ in point of view and in the type of images selected to represent the particular concept. One of his current photographic projects is a series of photo-essays, together titled "Embracing Place" which currently includes the books: The Bear Mountain Bridge, The Jewel of… the Hudson"; "Peekskill"; "Dogway, the Walkway Over the Hudson"; and "The Agora, The Peekskill Coffee House."
