The Rev. W. Dean Witten is a 1960 graduate of Florida Southern College and the Methodist Theological School, Delaware, Ohio, class of 1963. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from FSC and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. FSC also honored him with the Doctor of Divinity Degree.In 1964, Reverend Witten was ordained an elder and granted full membership in the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has since pastored seven UM churches. In addition, he was appointed to serve as the superintendent of the Sarasota and Orlando Districts from 1992 to 2002.
