James F. La Valley attended the UVA, completing his BA in English and three years of medical school. He transferred fields to gain an MA in Bible and later another MA in English. With this background, he pastored, taught in state universities and a Bible college, and conducted seminars throughout the West Indies, to bring churches into the Book of Acts style ministry.
