Max Kreijn was born in 1947 in a small town in the south of Holland. As a precocious adolescent he published a number of short stories in various literary publications and wrote his first novel �The Man With Feet of Clay� in Dutch when he was 16. It sank without trace.He lived in London from 1968 until 1974 when he moved to Spain to teach himself to paint. During the past thirty five years he has lived and worked in many countries including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Thailand, Argentina and Australia.He is one of Holland�s foremost realist painters with an international reputation. His work has been shown in more than fifty gallery and museum exhibitions, around the world. He now spends… his time between studios in Bangkok and Sydney. �The altar boy� is his second novel in English. It is also part one of a trilogy of novels called 'Sleeping With Boys'.
