George Collier King was graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1964. From 1970 to 2003, he had a private medical practice in Clayton, Ga. and was also a clinical adjunct professor for community medicine at the Mercer University School of Medicine. Now retired, he is currently working on a historical novel based on the life of naval hero Stephen Decatur. .
