Vicki Lewis Thompson was born on October 11 in Arizona. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in English from the University of Arizona. She was a teacher and a journalist prior to publishing her first work in 1984. She has been a finalist eight times for the Romance Writers of America's RITA award. Thompson has won the Desert Rose's Golden Quill Award and has been honored by Romantic Times and Affaire de Coeur. She is the author of the Sons of Chance Series.

Meg Maguire taught for many years in London schools, including a period as a headteacher. Her research interests include education policy and practice, social justice issues, the life and work of school-teachers, teacher education and the challenges of inner-city schooling. She is Professor of Sociology of Education in the Department of Education and Professional Studies at King s College London, UK. She has extensive experience of supervising research with undergraduate, masters and doctoral students in educational studies and has a long-standing concern with ethics in research. Her most recent book "How schools do Policy. Policy enactments in secondary schools "(Routledge, 2012) is… co-written with Stephen Ball and Annette Braun. She is lead editor for the "Journal of Education Policy".
Debbi has written over 50 books for Harlequin since 1994, in several different lines including: Harlequin American, Harlequin Intrigue, Love & Laughter, Duets and Harlequin Blaze. She lives in rural, beautiful Utah with far too many rescued cats and dogs. Although she hasn't lived there for years, she still misses her home state of Hawaii. She's currently working on a western Blaze series, one of her favorite genres.
