I have memories of my family members, their historical roots, the vivid american cars of the 1950's, the emerging rock and roll music, different characters, and the positive mood of the country during the Eisenhower years and post World War II. I know those times in detail and have the ability to communicate them by writing a book for others to feel that mood and those times.My family dated back to the early settlers of Worthington, Ohio in the early 1800's and to early settlers of our country, coming from England in 1637 to Massachusetts. My great grandfather was in the Civil War, my grandfather in World War I, and I was in the Vietnam War. I lived in a village where most people knew one… another, bought a new or used car every year, began watching television, listening to pop then rock and roll and showed some very positive values.I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I graduated from Worthington High School (as my great grand parents, grandparents, father did) in 1964. I then attended Ohio State University and graduated in December, 1968. I was immediately drafted into the US Army in January of 1969 and sent to Vietnam in July, 1969. After 14 months there, I was discharged honorably and traveled for a year. I moved to Gunnison, Colorado in 1971 to attend graduate school. Upon graduation I returned to Ohio. I worked in social welfare, was married in 1976, and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in Spring of 1976. My wife and I had two daughters, Courtney and Meredith. My wife and I divorced in 1985. At that time I was a juvenile parole officer. I moved to Denver. I started a gay lifestyle. I stayed emotionally close to my daughters. I had one long term relationship with another man. I went into real estate in 1991, had a successful career and semi-retired in 2010 to write.
