M. MIKELL JOHNSON has been playing golf for over 30 years. She is a member of the Traces Women's Golf Club and her USGA handicap is 25. She earned academic degrees from SC State University, Hunter College, NYC, and Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. She has been a research scientist at the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute, the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Squibb, Schering-Plough, Ciba-Geigy, and the FDA. She has served on the Board of Education in East Orange, NJ. After her retirement from science, Dr. Johnson has devoted herself to golf, volunteering at major tournaments, as a golf photographer (of such luminaries as Els, Singh, Woods, Goosen, Inkster, Mallon, Sorenstam, and… Webb), and as a fan. This is her first book.
