Laura Vae Gatz was given a camera at a young age, and has yet to put it down. An avid adventure traveler, landscape and nature photographer and writer, Laura travels the world capturing word and visual images of culture, creatures, and the inevitable dialogue in one’s head while traveling alone. Last year a friend pointed out to her that she’d traveled to all 7 continents in just 13 months. She’s published a dozen Coffee Table photography books from her travels, available online, and in 2009 published a limited edition Photo Book of a vintage family camp on the shores of Lake Michigan. Africa via Antarctica: Sixty Sunsets in the Southern Hemisphere is her first published… work of her adventures.Laura Vae Gatz was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, grew up in central Illinois and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Valparaiso University. She also attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California for post graduate work. When she’s not traveling or taking a sabbatical, Laura works full-time in Dallas, Texas as a Senior Project Manager in IT, for a Fortune 100 company.
