Besides being a physician, Dr Wayne Sumpter is a husband, father and retired Air Force officer. He is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Provide Comfort and numerous other deployments and temporary duty assignments. He is keenly aware of the challenges and stressors that families face when they undergo prolonged separation. He continues to provide medical care to those who serve in the military and address their concerns both before and after deployment.
