Dr. Al Siebert (Portland, OR) is Director of The Resiliency Center and author of The Survivor Personality. He is an ex-paratrooper with a Ph.D. in psychology. He is internationally recognized for his research into the inner nature of highly resilient survivors. He is frequently quoted in books and articles, and has been interviewed on National Public Radio and OPRAH. His specialty is teaching how to be highly resilient in a world that is changing too fast.

Mary Karr's memoir, "The Liars' Club," won the PEN/Martha Albrand Award. A poet & essayist, she has won Pushcart prizes in both genres. Her other grants & awards include the prestigious Whiting Award & the Bunting Fellowship from Radcliffe College. Her previous poetry collections are "Abacus," "The Devil's Tour," & "Viper Rum." She is a full professor at Syracuse University.
