Kate Hargreaves is a roller derby skater with Windsor, Ontario's Border City Brawlers. She holds an M.A. in English & Creative Writing and received a Governor General's Gold Medal for her graduate work. Kate has been published in numerous literary magazines across Canada and the United States including: filling Station, Room, Carousel, The Antigonish Review, Drunken Boat, Rampike, Descant, Branch Magazine and Off the Coast, as well as in numerous roller derby magazines including, Derbylife, fiveonfive, Blood & Thunder, and Inside Line. Her poetry will also appear in the Windsor ReView's Best Writers Under 35 issue, and Palimpsest Press' Detours anthology of Windsor/Essex County poets. She… was the 2012 recipient of the Windsor Endowment for the Arts Emerging Literary Artist award and spends her time off-skates working as a publishing assistant and book designer.
