Paul W. Chilcote is a United Methodist minister, missionary, and theological educator who has worked in the United States, England, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. He is currently Dean of Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio and also serves as Professor of Historical Theology & Wesleyan Studies. He served previously as a charter faculty member of Africa University in Zimbabwe and Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, as well as teaching at Duke University Divinity School. He is past president of The Charles Wesley Society and the Academcy for Evangelism in Theological Education, is a Benedictine Oblate of Mt. Angel Abbey in Oregon, and author of twenty books. His wife, Janet, is an ordained United Methodist minister, and they have five daughters and four grandchildren.
