Avis Clendenen is professor of religious studies at Saint Xavier University and adjunct professor of pastoral theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. She holds her Ph.D. in theology and the human sciences from Chicago Theological Seminary, where she also received a Doctor of Ministry degree.
