Ferro received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a certificate in litigation from UCLA Extension Attorney Assistant Program, in association with the UCLA School of Law. He is a paralegal with the Los Angeles County Office of the Public Defender, where he was assigned to the Juvenile Services Division. He has assisted in the defense of juveniles in the Los Angeles County Juvenile Court and has worked directly with juvenile probationers. He is a freelance writer.
