Lisa Birnbach is an award-winning broadcaster and author. Lisa graduated from Brown University and went to work at The Village Voice, where she co-wrote the ''Scenes'' column. Birnbach accepted an offer from Workman Publishing to write a book on preppies. The book, The Official Preppy Handbook, became a bestseller and Lisa quickly became a media darling. Birbach began writing for such high-profile publications as Glamour, TV Guide, and Rolling Stone.
