Jack Bowen grew up in San Diego, and now teaches philosophy. He has a variety of interests. He first studied human biology at Stanford University, but a serendipitous discovery at the library led him to earn a Master's degree in Philosophy. He has spoken at conferences and published numerous journal articles, mostly about sports ethics.
