Carol A. Dahir, Ed.D., is an associate professor and the coordinator of School Counselor Education at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). In addition to working as an elementary teacher and middle school counselor, she spent fourteen years as supervisor of school counseling programs and student support services.
