Garth Nix was born in Melbourne, Australia on July 19, 1963 and grew up in Canberra. He graduated from the University of Canberra in 1986 and worked various jobs within the publishing industry until 1994. After a stint in public relations, he returned to books and took up writing as a career. In 1999, he received a Golden Duck Award for Australian Contribution to Children's Science Fiction. He is the author of the Old Kingdom series, The Seventh Tower series, and The Keys to the Kingdom series. In 2014 his title Blood Ties made The New York Times Best Seller List.
Sean Williams is a New York Times best selling science fiction author. He was born in Whyalla, Australia in 1967. He studied at Adelaide University receiving a Bachelor of Economics. Sean completed a Masters in Creative Writing in 2005 and is currently a PhD candidate. Sean is a prolific writer. His books include the Books of the Catalcysm and (with Shane Dix) Evergence, Orphans and Geodesica series. Sean is a multiple recipient of both the Ditmar and Aurealis Awards. His novelisation of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was the first novelisation of a computer game to debut at #1 on the "New York Times" bestseller list. Sean lives in Adelaide, Australia.
