A lifetime's experience grappling with issues of identity and selfhood through her work as an improvisational dancer, actress, bodyworker, and yoga teacher prepared Cate McNider for the role of poet for which she is, perhaps, best suited.  A graduate of Sweet Briar College's theater-arts program, she also studied at the Drama Studio in London before moving to New York City in the 1980's.  She lives in Manhattan with her dog Mimi, and spends time in the Catskills writing and teaching.
