Alexandra Wallner has written and illustrated children's picture-book biographies of famous writers, artists, and historical figures, focusing on their childhoods. Her books have received such honors as Teacher's Choice, Outstanding Book in the Field of Science, the Philadelphia Children's Reading Round Table Book of the Month, and the Pennsylvania Library Association Carolyn W. Field Honor Award. She lives in Mexico.
