Author and Illustrator, Bill Peet was born in Grandview, Indiana in 1915. Peet began his artistic career by working at Walt Disney Studios. While there, he worked on feature films including Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians. He was not only an artist for these films but the screenwriter as well. While working at Disney, he also wrote his own books and eventually left to become a full-time writer. His first published title was Hubert's Hair-Raising Adventure.
