Author Patricia Veryan grew up in a suburb of London, England. Before becoming an author in the late 1970's she completed a one year secretarial course and had numerous jobs including working in the London offices of Columbia Pictures, for the U.S. Army Headquarters and for the University of California. All of her romance novels are set in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and she writes the Golden Chronicles series.
