JOHN BARTLOW MARTIN (1915--1988) was a journalist and free-lance writer who grew up in Indianapolis and was graduated from DePauw University. He worked for the Associated Press, was a reporter for the Indianapolis Times, and was the author of numerous articles, stories, and books.LOGAN ESAREY, born in Perry County, Indiana, in 1873, did not enter Indiana University until he was thirty years old; eight years after his graduation, he returned there to stay until his death in 1942. He was a pioneer in the development of regional history.
