Owen Marshall is an educator and fiction writer. He is from New Zealand. Before writing, Marshall was a headmaster. Marshall received a New Zealand Literary Fund Scholarship, the 1992 Robert Burns Fellowship, and the 1996 Katherine Mansfield Fellowship. He received the Honour Award in Senior Fiction in the AIM Children's Book Awards for the novel "The Ace of Diamonds Gang" in 1994.
