James Olah, born in Muskegon, Michigan, has been a pastor for over 39 years. The focus of his teaching has always focused on helping people to experience life with higher goals and purpose. This book contains many of the papers he put together over the years to help people grow in their faith.He and his first wife Nancy met while attending the same college in Grand Rapids, Michigan and they were married for 43 years. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. In February of 2012 Jim's wife died of cancer. He has dedicated a chapter of his book "Looking at the Issues of Death and Suffering from a Christian Perspective." to his wife that describes how he used the teachings of the… book to help them go through this difficult time.His interests have led him into many enriching experiences. He has been on the founding board of a graduate school (Moody Theological Seminary) in Detroit, Michigan and Yangon, Burma. He contributed to a bimonthly magazine in India for eight years, written articles for local newspapers as well as many instruction papers for the people of his church.Other experiences include his involvement in radio broadcasting for the oldest church owned radio station in the world, has been a co-host for a weekly cable Television broadcast, Eye Opener in Port Huron, Michigan, and was a panelist on the broadcast television program called "Ask the Pastor". He was in the 1991-1992 edition of Who's Who in Religion. He volunteered in his local Alternative Education School for nine years for at-risk high school students and also worked as a hospice chaplain for three years.He now lives in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan as he continues his writing and he also works with college students in the church he is attending.
