Rev. Carol Richardson was born on the equator in what was then the Belgian Congo (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Raised with a global perspective due to traveling between the United States and Africa during her youth, she also brings brings an inspirational perspective which includes both mystical Christian insights as well as interfaith and open-minded spirituality."Pastor Carol" received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University, a master's degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and her master of divinity degree from Vanderbilt University Divinity School. Upon graduation from Vanderbilt, she received the… Newcombe Prize for her senior project "best representing minister as theologian." Widowed at the age of 28 when her children were aged just seven months and twenty-two months old, Rev. Richardson experienced her "call to ministry" through that experience. At a time when she could have just felt abandoned by God, she chose, instead, "stubbornly to believe that God loves me anyway." Her life and spirituality took a quantum leap forward when she simultaneously found herself reading Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda while also studying Raja Yoga meditation. She pursued studies in Eastern spirituality for four years in England, and also studied Reiki I and Reiki II. Having received an Enlightenment Vision on Thursday, May 27, 2010, Pastor Carol now feels called to teach and lead workshops, to write, and to offer energy healing to all who would receive greater blessings through growing closer to God.
